Who's Who Among American College and University Students

This is my fourth year at Michigan Avenue and I absolutely love it!  I was very blessed to be placed at MAS in 2008 to complete the internship portion of my Master's degree.  I loved the atmosphere, staff, and students at MAS and knew that I wanted to be part of such a fantastic program!  Luckily, as my internship was winding down a position opened and Mrs. Newman hired me.  I truly LOVE my job and cannot wait to spend many more years at MAS!

I am a product of the Bradley County School system, having attended Black Fox, Bradley Junior, and graduated from Bradley Central in 2000.  Following my graduation from Bradley I attended Lee University on a softball scholarship and spent four years pitching for the Lady Flames.  My old arm no longer allows me to play softball, but I continue to teach pitching lessons and watch my students play.

In 2007 I married my college sweetheart Trey Seymour after seven years together.  We love to attend sporting events, spend time with our families, hang out with friends, and play with our beautiful black lab Maggie.   I am extremely blessed to have a wonderfully supportive and loving family.  We are very close and I love to spend as much time as possible with them.  My awesome parents and siblings help me to prepare my classroom in the summer; my parents even built my class reading area!  My nephew Jax often visits our class and is our honorary mascot!
