Associates Degree from Cleveland State Community College

Master's Degree in Reading from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

This will be my 30th year in Education.

(1989-2003) For the first fifteen years, I was a Title I teacher at Blue Springs Elementary - starting the very first elementary computer lab in our District.

(2003-2005)  I became a Technology Coach in 2003 when I won a $300,000 EdTech Grant from the State of TN.  I continued as Technology Coach at Blue Springs - winning a continuation grant of $60,000 in 2004.  In 2005, I wrote and was awarded an Orbit Launch Grant ($537,000) from the State to work alongside 5 schools in the area (Taylor Elementary, Niota Elementary, Meigs South Elementary, Blue Springs Elementary and Chattanooga Central High School) helping those schools begin Tech Integration programs.

(2006-Present)  Since 2006, Bradley County has continued the Tech Coach Program at the elementary level.  There are now 6 Technology Coaches that service the District.

I was born and raised in Cleveland, TN.  I come from a long line of educators - with many of my family teaching right here in Bradley County.  I have been married for 24 years and have two daughters.  I love working with schools.  I am especially interested in Technology and how it can be used to enhance learning.
