  • Bachelors of Teaching in Special Education Mild/Moderate K-12 from Lee University
  • Minor in Theatre and Religion from Lee University

This will be my first official year in a certified teaching position. Before coming to MAS, I worked as a Special Education Assistant in Inclusion and Credit Recovery at Bradley Central High School. Michigan Avenue was my first student teaching experience, and I am glad to be coming back as a full time staff member.

Other than teaching, I have cared for several people with special needs ranging from ages 3 to 60, and having both mild to severe disabilities. I have also taught several acting and dance inclusion classes for adults with special needs from the Trousdale School and Bradley County. I currently teach Children's Church (ages 3-6) at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.

I am a military child that has moved many times. Before coming to Cleveland, TN, I lived in Middletown, RI. I am the oldest of three, but the shortest in my family at 6'. I did not play basketball, but spent my free time in choir, theatre, and dance. I spent two years after graduating from high school in 2010 traveling with a Christian drama ministry before realizing that my true calling was in Special Education. I am not married nor do I have any kids of my own yet, but I do have a cat that I am rather fond of named Galaxy. When I am not teaching, I enjoy watching movies, relaxing with friends, and talking to my family via video chat or phone.
